Growing up on a heavy dose of punk rock, antiques and art.. I developed a huge love for anything unique, beautiful or just plain ridiculous. As a classically trained artist and designer - I create, I restore and I'm a "collector". (That's what I call myself, because I can't come to terms with calling myself a glorified hoarder).
My ex-husband Aaron and I have been in the antique and collectibles business together for the last 17 years. His love of all things sports, subculture, masculine and weird make for a really unusual combination.... but kinda like French frys with a Frosty.. it just works.
We created Zeal as something to do on a Saturday afternoon. Who knew that 17 years, 7 booths all over the country and one divorce later, we would still be excited to go on our weekend hunts for new items? I think I can safely call it an addiction at this point. WELCOME! You've been warned!
At Zeal, we have a little bit of everything, and it's always changing. From punk to junk, Victorian to MCM... we love doing this, and we hope you enjoy what you find.
We have been thrilled to have our business grow. So much so that we recently opened a second store on Etsy (Zeal Mantiques and More), where Aaron is steering the helm and focusing on more masculine items that he loves. Be sure to check it out! Because of the nature of Vintage and antique items, we sell everything "as is". We try our best to describe each item, warts and all. (Trust me. I've been on the recieving end of buying something that was not as described. I don't want to be "that store"). So, I try my best to point things out in advance, so theres no unwanted magical surprises when you open your package. That being said, we do not accept returns. I will insure your package, in case of theft or damage, but it is really important that you read the descriptions I so lovingly typed out and view the pictures carefully. I will be more than happy to take more pictures, give measurements... whatever you need, prior to your purchase.
